Now that patch 1.1 a.k.a. the performance patch has been released it's time to check out how our PCs, especially the Vista and the multi-GPU setups, run the updated game. We invite you to post your v1.1 (or v1.1 vs. v1.0) results on our forums. Instructions and links to drivers and hotfixes follows...
UPDATE: New NVIDIA ForceWare 169.28 Beta drivers released, increasing SLI performance with patch 1.1. Thanks AjentSmith!
Run the official benchmark demos using the three batch files located at \Bin32\ or \Bin64\ folder:
Benchmark_CPU.bat (processor test)
Benchmark_CPU2.bat (new processor test)
Benchmark_GPU.bat (graphics card test)
Allow the tests to fully complete (all 4 runs) and pick the results with the highest average fps.
For best results updating at least the grapchis card and sound card drivers to the latest versions is recommended:
NVIDIA ForceWare drivers
ATI Catalyst drivers
Soundblaster drivers
SoundMAX drivers
RealTek drivers
C-Media drivers
...and installing the hotfixes, if you haven't done so:
Windows Vista Hotfixes at NVIDIA
ATI hotfix for Crysis
