Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter currently in development at Crytek Frankfurt studios for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Crysis 2 will be the first game to use Crytek's first multi-platform game development solution, the CryEngine 3. The game was announced on June 1st, 2009 and it has been in development since 2007.
The events in Crysis 2 take place in an Alien-invaded New York City in 2023, three years after Crysis. The world has been torn apart by climatic disasters and the society is just about to collapse. The Aliens have attacked and depopulated several big cities in the world including New York City, London, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. The game is said to be a resetting of the Crysis universe. You will not be playing as Jake 'Nomad' Dunn but as another character. Crysis 2 will introduce a new, improved and customisable Nanosuit 2.0, revamped fiction and back story, and enhanced AI (Artifical Intelligence) opponents. Utilizing the Nanosuit 2.0, your goal is to save the world by saving New York first. Unsurprisingly, a multiplayer mode will be included, and it will be developed by Crytek Nottingham.
CryEngine 3 supports DirectX 11 on the PC, so it's pretty much safe to say that Crysis 2 will have support for it as well. Crysis 2 can be played in stereoscopic 3D on all platforms.
Crysis 2 will be released March 22nd, 2011 in North America and March 25th in Europe. Crysis 2 is an EA Partners title and it will be published under EA Games.

Crysis Warhead is a first person shooter developed exclusively for the PC at Crytek Budapest. The Warhead package was officially announced on June 5th, 2008 and released in September 18, 2008 and it was published under EA Games.
Crysis Warhead is not Crysis 2 nor a Crysis add-on, it is a stand-alone game telling a parallel story to the original Crysis game. In Warhead you play as Sergeant Sykes, also known as 'Psycho'.
Warhead uses an enhanced and further optimized version of CryEngine 2. The game features new weapons, vehicles and wildlife.
The Warhead DVD-box comes with two DVDs. One has Crysis Warhead and the other has Crysis Wars, the multiplayer game. So there are two different games in the box. Both are installed, and patched, separately.
Crysis Wars comes with Team Instant Action, Instant Action and PowerStruggle game modes. There are 7 new maps + all the maps from Crysis.

Crysis is a first person shooter developed exclusively for the PC by Crytek Frankfurt, the makers of the award-winning Far Cry. The game was announced on January 30th, 2006 and released in November 16, 2007 and was published under EA Games.
Players take the role of Jake 'Nomad' Dunn, a United States Delta Force Soldier sent to an island in the South China Sea to rescue a group of archaeologists kidnapped by the powerful North Korean army. Things turn sour quickly, as their chilling discovery awakens, proving itself to be history's greatest threat to mankind. Nomad must use his customizable arsenal and high tech nanosuit to fend off the North Koreans and the terrifying alien threat.
Crysis, using CryEngine 2, was highly anticipated, as it was one of the first DirectX 10 games. Some of the technology it utilizes includes dynamic day/night cycle, fully interactive environments, sunrays and diffuse transmission, real time soft shadows, soft particles, interactive/destructible environments, volumetric clouds, and advanced shader technology.
