9800m GTS performance?
Hey thinking of getting a laptop with the 9800m gts. Curious as to how it performs in Warhead. If someone here who has the card could post their settings and avg fps that would be great!

1920x1200 all High you will get about 25FPS. I turned everything down to low/medium + motion blur and get about 40FPS at that same res and it still looks better than Crysis all High. Would you happen to be talking about the Gateway P-7811FX by any chance?

thx for the response...no not the gateway but for a clevo/sager retailer in the UK.

For some reason my performance in Warhead has been cut almost in half. I don't know if it is because of the different drivers or what but this same exact thing happened in Crysis when I got it last year. I had great FPS then a week later, same time frame as Warhead for the most part, I lose FPS. I have never been able to play Crysis like I did the first time. Maybe I have horrible luck, but it seems that Crysis/Warhead only run great for the first time through the game then all goes to hell.

Yeah that is strange. Maybe you card is getting to hot and your fans need cleaning. I know that with Crysis and Warhead that if I alt-tab out into windows and then back in the game that my FPS is worse. Also even if I just join another server or just load another save point that my FPS will be worse. Pretty much spend a lot of time having to fully exit the game and restart.

Its not something that would be caused by heat as its permanent. I know the card is clean as the PC is only a few months old 
. I don't alt-tab and like I said, its perfect the first time through then after that it goes to hell. I am pretty sure it is something with the engine as it happens on two different PC's.
