You are definitely not alone my friend, I too have this annoying problem. It is strange though, because I played multiplayer for like 30 minutes, went to play single player, then I come back and I have this problem! Why now?

It definitely needs to be fixed, asap.

I registered over at PunkBuster and started complaining over there as well. I haven't gotten a response in over 24 hours. Typical of them to just blow people off. Maybe if more people regstered and complained something might get done.

Seems if you want to play 64 bit you can't use PB. Utterly worthless.... So let's drum up some stink about it.

i was having the same trouble...

My friend pointed out to "create account" button where it wants you to create the gamespyID account.. just enter your account that you already have there.. it worked for me

This sure is annoying.

Hello all, long time forum reader and first time poster here, too bad it's about EA's/Punkbuster's regular incompetence.

I too have had this(ridiculously annoying) problem, and gone through the same trial and error that the OP has gone through, to no avail. Since this is EA and Punkbuster we're talking about, I seriously doubt that we'll see a fix any time soon.

And I was looking forward to comparing this to CoD4 MP(looks like it's basically BF2 with nano-suits and kick *** visuals. Also less buggy, but I'm really starting to doubt that from all I've heard and seen.

So the patch has been planned to be released in 7-14 days. We just have to wait for it . Long freakin´time dudes.

Check my blog. Tomorrow i have chance to try to solve the problem, because going to test it in different network.

That key thing is not THE cure for this issue because it won´t help all who has this problem. Glad u got it to work though.

Here is the file to change keys in your reg file.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Crysis\ergc]
@="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Change the x's to your key without dashes & save as change_key.reg in notepad.

Then double click to run. (then click OK to add it).

Then delete it, and empty your trash (so you don't compromise your key).
