Discussion of Crytek's Crysis games

First you need to put con_restricted = 0 in your system.cfg. Then while ingame open up the console and use these commands. To those who don't have a system.cfg. Open notepad and save it as a system.cfg to your Crysis_SP_Demo directory.
e_screenshot_width 4200 (what i use)
e_screenshot_height 2690 (what i use)
e_screenshot_file_format (jpg,tga,bmp, your choice)
r_drawnearfov 10 ("removes" gun, but you can just select the fists too)
cl_hud 0 (disable HUD)
r_display_info 0 (remove fps etc. info from the upper right corner)
Type this in the console when your ingame (works better in the editor though).
e_screenshot 1 (this takes the screenshot)
Your screenshots will be in \Crysis_SP_Demo\Game\Screenshots\HiRes
Here's one I took.
Photoshop was used only to "reduce" the image quality. Other than that they are 100% ingame.
*Image quality and filesize reduced because photobucket has 1MB limit and my screenshots were 7MB*
(Some browsers may need to right click + view image for full size)

No, it just enhances the screenshot to look better at a huge resolution instead of automatically stretching it, it actually renders multiple shots and puts them together.

Okay, noob question, where is the system.cfg are you talking about? It isn't in my config folder from what I see.

so what exactly does thing do? increases resolution? i mean it's not gonna make my low settings screenshots be as beautiful as the ones you have, right?

No but it will make a low resolution screenshot, HUGE with no visible quality reduction.

well yea - that's a very cool feature... for those who have good computers...
there is no need to have a huge res screen with LOW settings, lol

Please tell me where the config you mentioned is located. I did a search for system.cfg with no hits.

Yah, I don't have a system.cfg either, in the beta it were in the main directory, but in the demo I can't find it.

He is not lying I tested it, the only problem is I get an error because I don't know which cfg file to add the line to.
[Error] Failed to write 'Game\ScreenShots\HiRes\00000.jpg' (not supported on this platform?)

The only thing I did in photoshop was reduce the quality of the screenshot. That means they look "worse" than the original.

Try creating a system.cfg. Open up notepad and save the file as system.cfg then place it in your Crysis_SP_Demo directory.

Did you add con_restricted 0? It unlocks the unknown command garbage.
